What does regenerative mean to you?

In this episode, we’re joined by regenerative farming aficionado, DeAnna Lozensky, of Guardian Grains, located in South Prairie, North Dakota. Guardian Grains is a husband and wife team working to help their fourth generation farm thrive.

The health of the soil is at the heart of every decision they make on their regenerative farm. Their soil health is reliant upon a rich blend of biodiversity in their farming practices.

DeAnna got into regenerative farming because she was tired of being a “doctor” to sick “patients” in the field. Her aim is to not only repair the soil through farming practices, but allow the soil to THRIVE, without too much interference.

Join us to hear how DeAnna and her husband accomplish this regenerative feat!

About the Guest:

DeAnna is a regenerative grain farmer in central ND. She and her husband, Kelly, grew spring wheat, heritage wheats, Egyptian Hulless Barley, malting barley, and milling oats on their farm this year. They formed their company, Guardian Grains, in 2020 to offer whole grains direct to consumers. This year, they expanded their offerings to consumers to add stone-milled flours and heritage artisan pasta that they ship all over the US.
